Will Everyone Implement STMs Correctly? A School Administrator’s Dilemma

Earlier today, I received a call from a school administrator who had just begun reading the first few chapters of my book on Student-Teacher Meetings (STMs). His voice carried a mix of curiosity and concern as he asked, "Astha, don’t you think everyone will have their own versions of STMs? Will they implement it the way they should?"

It’s a valid concern, and one that I anticipated while writing the book. I explained to him that certain chapters in the book specifically focus on a well-structured process for STMs

—a standardized method that must be followed to ensure consistency and effectiveness. This isn’t just about having casual chats; it’s about creating meaningful interactions that follow a clear, thoughtful protocol.

I also emphasized that a dedicated task force would be responsible for implementing and overseeing the STM process in schools, ensuring that it is carried out with fidelity. The beauty of STMs lies in their simplicity, which is why I’ve laid out the process in an easy-to-follow manner in the book. If one reads it word for word, they will find that implementing STMs is not only possible but straightforward.

Additionally, I’ve made resource materials available on the webpage for anyone who might need further guidance. And for those who still have concerns or questions, I’m always open to discussing it further. It’s all about ensuring that this concept is not just understood but also executed in the way it’s intended to bring about the most positive impact.
